With its elegant design, distinctive details and sweet running engine, the 1750 Veloce and especially the sought after Series 1 is by many considered the pinnacle of Alfa’s 1960’s pocket GT. With 122 HP, 0-100 km/h in well under 10 seconds and a top speed of more than 190 km/h, it packs the power to back up its looks.

This 1750 GT Veloce, which we offer in commission, was sold new to Alfa Romeo Agno, Switzerland on february 17th 1969. It was imported in 1997 to the Netherlands and owned since then by an alfistic dentist in Rotterdam. In 2010 the Alfa was sold to the current owner.

In recent years the owner took the car through a full technical and body restoration. The car was taken apart to the body shell. Rust was limited to sills and they where changed with use of original panels. Then properly sealed in all joints, painted with primer and then the correct Alfa Rosso topcoat as delivered from factory. The 1750 Series 1 is the only Bertone GT with the fabulous Zagato interior with the vented bucket seats. This black colored original interior is in absolute pristine condition and has been preserved. New head lining completes a quite gorgeous interior.

The 1750 engine and gearbox are in an excellent condition. The current owner bought the car with a 2.0 liter engine and replaced it with a period correct 1750 engine. It was subject to a full rebuild less than 3000 kilometers ago. A compression test was performed and it is as good as they come. At it’s most recent maintenance it has received a full service with new ignition parts, valve and carburetor cleaning and adjustment. All fluids and filters are changed in engine and gearbox.

This beautiful 1750 GT Veloce is now ready to be enjoyed by its new owner for many years to come.
